Sony Xperia T Review: top multimedia Android smartphone

Number of View :119

MIke takes a thorough look at the Sony Xperia T, Sony’s new flagship and followup for the Xperia S. Sony Xperia T is Sony’s flagship Android smartphone, a 4.6 inch beast which we’ve reviewed in an extensive video. There are lots of things to say about this curved back smartphone, with a nice rubbery finish that provides grip unlike its main competitor, the Samsung Galaxy S3. The Xperia T weighs 140 grams, but it’s not extremely heavy in hand, especially compared to the competition, and it has a lot to offer: Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz, Adreno 225 GPU and 1 GB of RAM, plus 16 GBs of storage space. The user interface of Android 4.0 ICS was heavily customized by Sony for their Xperia T, and this could be a problem for Xperia newcomers, but you’ll get used to that in time. But that’s the price to pay to get access to Sony’s services Music and Movies unlimited. Downsides to this Sony Xperia T? Well, there’s the above average battery life, even if the main powerplant is rated for 1850 mAh. And there’s no Jelly Bean Android software update just yet. Hope you like our Sony Xperia T review and don’t forget to answer my question at the end of the clip! — Twitter: twitter.com Facebook: www.facebook.com (Subscribe only) Website: www.tlbhd.com

Hmmm, i already ordered it :/
Is that is the only problem? i wont be spilling anything on it… I don’t see many videos of the tablet on the internet, This could be the reason… Ugh i didn’t get the Nexus7 to avoid the defective units that asus shipped, now SONY have build issues too!!

has the Xperia T smooth? id like it to be as smooth as the S2, and the Xperia T looks so boring! it looks like it doesnt come anywhere near the S3 on features

    i think it’s a 4.55 inch actually, some specs say 4.6, others 4.55

  7. mikeyduncanxx1 says:

Might sound weird but I think the Sony Xperia T in Uk is only 4’5 inch screen

  8. mikeyduncanxx1 says:

hey, I was looking to buy this. Should I stick with my Galaxy S2 or Switching to Sony Xperia T?, but I just want to know is the browser fast and smooth? because the browser on the S2 is fast and really smooth!

you should hold off on buying that xperia tablet s. I’ve heard sony had to call back many of them for some problems. it looks like the joint between the screen and the body is not so waterproof as they said it will be

Note 2 is an EPIC “phablet”, S3 is a great functional phone with a not so good design and build, HTC One are good looking (screen and build) and good performing phones with not so good cameras, Sony products are good looking and have nice build and screen quality in general, also the cameras on their phones are great, If i were to get an android device to really do something productive on it, my choice would be Samsung (tablet or phone), but for aesthetics and entertainment sony is great :)

The design is great IMO also i think it enhances grip, The UI is unique and functional, yes it requires some time to get used to, but that’s the trade off for trying something “Different”…
Also sony makes great products so i think the screen is really good despite having not so good viewing angles according to your review…
Oh and i am getting a Sony Xperia Tablet S :)

Ohhhh man I cannot wait for this phone! I have been wanting a phone with a high end camera for the longest time, and the Xperia T is it! I love everything about it, but if I had to change anything, an easily removable battery would have been nice, or maybe 2gb RAM instead of just 1gb. Those are pretty minor things though. I cannot wait to see one in person (and then take it home with me). Thanks for the great review!

This is a very nice phone from Sony. I, however, like the UI layout that they designed and I also like camera features, but Sony could have made the camera a little bit under exposed.
